The Double Bubble lamp is designed by Eero Aarnio, a celebrated furniture designer. One of his designs are the Double Bubble lamp series which includes  two table lamps and one sculptural standing lamp. Initially he created the Double Bubble lamp from blown glass, but the lamp was ultimately cast in plastic for  durability and uniform light emission.
